• THE ART OF CUT-AND-SEWN

The precision of advanced technology meets the care of handcraftsmanship in which materials for major interior components are joined via hand stitching.

While many luxury carmakers use the Cut-and-Sew technique for top-end models, only Cadillac applies it to all its car models.

CADILLAC X PUBLIC SCHOOL

With the occasion of launching the first-ever XT5 Crossover, Cadillac announced a unique project in which the vehicle will debut at venues around the world in partnership with acclaimed fashion designers Public School.

At a private kickoff event, Public School announced it would debut its Pre-Fall collection on the runway in Dubai. The designers created an XT5-inspired capsule collection for the special invited guests at the Dubai show.

The show marked Public School’s first international runway show, showcasing the pre-fall collection that was available in 2016. Public School grows its global footprint through the partnership with Cadillac.

  • “This is a new way for two American brands to join forces, share a passion for design and grow globally,” said Andrew Smith, Cadillac executive director of Global Design. “For Cadillac, it gives new meaning to being a patron of the arts.”

This collaboration continues Cadillac’s engagement with the fashion community, supporting both emerging and established designers.

  • COLLECTING ACCOLADES:
MECOTY AWARD FOR “BEST LARGE PREMIUM SUV”

The 2015 Cadillac ESCALADE – a sophisticated luxury SUV designed to establish new benchmarks for hand-tailored craftsmanship and technology– won the coveted title at the Middle East Car of the Year (MECOTY) Award.

The 2015 Cadillac ESCALADE obtained the prestigious ‘Best Large Premium SUV’ honor at the Middle East Car of the Year (MECOTY) Awards ceremony, which took place on November 20th at Dubai’s Meydan Beach Club, Jumeirah Beach Residence.

  • MECOTY’s jury panel was immediately impressed by the 2015 Cadillac ESCALADE’s precisely crafted interior, groundbreaking design and sophisticated new technology for safety and connectivity. While the ESCALADE was all new for 2015, its iconic character has been preserved through an evolution of design dating to the first generation vehicle, introduced in 1999. With a strong sense of presence and proportion, the next-generation ESCALADE modernizes many signature Cadillac elements, including a shield-shaped grille, the Galvano bright trim, and the LED vertical light signatures.
